30 Years Of The Pleasance, Interview

todayAugust 19, 2014

Background

When you see The Pleasance venues today it is hard to imagine the Edinburgh Fringe without them. However, there was a time when the Courtyard didn’t host shows and when the Dome…remained quiet in August. From hosting twenty shows in two venues they now have twenty three venues and two hundred shows.

I sat down with The Pleasance founder Christopher Richardson and its present Director Anthony Alderson to speak about its humble beginnings and its future.

If that interview perked your interest then look out for the ‘Pleasance At 30’ books in any of The Pleasance venues.
