Doc Brown, Review

todayAugust 22, 2013

Background

Rating: ★★★★
22nd-25th August @ Pleasance Courtyard

What is a rapper to do once they’re grown up? For Doc Brown the answer was comedy.

The show starts as most Fringe shows start, with an over the top self voiced intro over dramatic music, but from there Doc Browns show is pretty different. He, mixes straight stand-up with fantastic spoof songs, taking a pop at current rap culture and the generic lines that they throw out. In-between the tracks Doc charms the audience with funny monologues and stories about his past.

The selling point of this show has got to be the music, the rap tracks are hilarious even if scattered a bit thinly through the set.

Doc Brown is only at the Fringe for a week so catch him while you can!
