Background

Midlothian Community Media Association, the charitable organisation responsible for Black Diamond FM, is holding its Annual General Meeting on Saturday 16th November in Newbattle Community Learning Centre at 14:00pm.

 

Formal Notice of the Annual General Meeting of Midlothian Community Media Association.

This will be held at:

Newbattle Community Learning Centre,

67 Gardiner Place Newtongrange EH22 4RT

To be held on Saturday 16 November at 2pm

The purpose of the meeting is:

  • To receive reports including the Annual Accounts for 2023/24
  • To elect directors to serve on the Board
  • To make the following amendments to the Articles of Association of MCMA:

From:

Unless otherwise determined by ordinary resolution, the amount of the annual membership subscription shall be £1 for Full Members, Corporate Members and Associate Members; the amount of the subscription may be set at differing levels for the respective categories of membership.

To:

Unless otherwise determined by ordinary resolution, the amount of the annual membership subscription shall be £5 for Full Members, Corporate Members and Associate Members; the amount of the subscription may be set at differing levels for the respective categories of membership.

 

  • Include in qualifications for membership:

Any individual aged 16 years or over and has been a member for a continual 10 years or more.

 

Full members are invited to apply to join the Board and should do so by writing to the secretary and should arrange for 2 Full members to indicate their support also in writing. Electronic communications are acceptable, to [email protected]. Nominations and support must be received 7 days prior to the AGM.
