Whether or not you think he’s the best, there’s no arguing that Matthew is possibly the most iconic radio presenter to hail from Midlothian. That’s according to a survey carried out in his own house.

His love of music ranges from pop to jazz, from soul to punk and even into the heavy metal scene.

Matthew is a straight talking guy with a wicked sense of humour. Some people have described him as a professor, as he has a vault of useless information. Others have called him a twisted firestarter and he even has his own wooden spoon for it.

Although Matthew has travelled the world over, he has lived in Midlothian forever. When not on air he can be found surrounded by family or driving his taxi around Midlothian.
