Last night I joined 150 supporters in watching one of the games during the week as the season slowly draws to an end with junior football. In the first half it was a game of chances for both teams, then Arniston gets the first and only goal in the game. Whitburn didn’t sit back and let the game go as they took control in the second half where they had many more chances of scoring, but had no luck everytime they tried to score. There was shouting for a penalty after Lambert Kaaleza was pushed fom behind. No linesmen last night.
Man of the Match for me was Lambert for the effort he put into the game.
Moment of the match for me was when the Arniston goalkeeper was well out his box and a Whitburn player and an Arniston player running side by side towards Arniston goal area, great opportunity to equalise, but missed, no goal.
After the game
