Dalkeith Thistle 24th July 2014

todayJuly 25, 2014

Background

Last night Dalkeith Thistle had a pre-season game against the U/19 team from Linlithgow Rose at Kings Park. The start of the game was totally dominated by Linlithgow Rose, but it didn’t take Dalkeith long to get into the game.. First goal of the game was scored by no10 Neil Shave for Dalkeith in front of around 125 supporters. Linlithgow then had to create more chances to equalise, when Sam Birch done just that. Dalkeith Thistle was reduced to 10 men after Kevin Murray was sent off in the second half. It then became a balanced game with chances for goal from both teams. The third and final goal by Linlithgow put the game to rest and it remained 1-2 till the final whistle.
Next pre-season game for Dalkeith Thistle is tomorrow, 26th July 2014 away to Selkirk 2pm KO.
A link will be put here later where you can hear what no 7 player from Linlithgow Rose, Ryan Currie had to say, a loyal spectator and supporter Barry Nicols, and Manager John McGlynn
