Talking Sport has been growing in popularity, since it was first introduced as a programme on Black Diamond FM which started out as a 1 hour programme, and increased to 2 hours due to the demand placed on sport. At this time in the football season the programme is ideally placed on a Wednesday between 6pm and 8pm for coverage of midweek football games. It also forms a platform for other sports to be represented and backed up with either recorded from the event or live interviews on the phone or in studio. At first it was myself Russell Aitken as the Presenter , Ryan and Jim Florence joined the programme at a later date. Fishing being one of the sports covered, I invited Bob Murray who is active in the sport to join us every Wednesday night to read out the fishing reports and talk about the fishing. Our main priority is sport with music to fill in the gaps created in the programme and play the most up to date tacks we have as well as the latest sports news.

In truly horrendous conditions with squally showers punctuating play and a gale blowing all afternoon, both Easthouses Lily and Harthill Royal take great credit from a King Cup tie which produced plenty of excitement and hung in the balance right to the end.
