Countdown to Radio Presenters Charity Dive

The count down is on for two of Midlothian's community radio presenters to take the plunge into Shark infested waters. So, just exactly why are Derek Kelly and Arlene Davidson from Midlothian's community Radio station Black Diamond FM, swimming with one of natures most fearsome Creatures.

Black Diamond FM are working alongside the Anthon Nolan Trust to raise money and awareness about the bone marrow register. From the beginning of September this year, the Saturday show has had various interviews connected to the cause and has raised awareness of the good and worthwhile work that the Anthony Nolan Trust do, as well as publicising other fundraising events for the charity.

Listeners to shows in November would have heard first hand from a parent, just exactly what the Anthony Nolan Trust means to them, when their young son was matched up with an anonymous donor who saved his life. Whilst, the excitement of a ghost hunting expedition courtesy of the Anthony Nolan Trust’s Fright Night Newtongrange, was conveyed to listeners when Simon Bacon, a psychic medium was interviewed Live on air and latterly, Big Brother one winner Craig Philips took time out of his busy Panto Schedule to advise Derek and Arlene just who he met down there, when he done his dive in Cheshire a few years ago.

At present they have raised £562 and they are on track to make that £600.00 by the dive day on Sunday 14th December 2008 at Deep Sea World North Queensferry. So why not support them by logging on to www.blackdiamondfm.com and clicking on Shark Dive 2008.
