At the weekend the British Cycle Speedway Championships was held at Redbraes Park in Edinburgh. Riders and family travelled from Sheffield, Bury, Ipswich, Poole, Leicester, Swindon, just to race for this title. The community in Midlothian has rallied round nine year old Sophie Spence who has the rare genetic condition Rett Syndrome which robs young girls of the ability to talk, walk and purposefully use their hands.
