Rugby: Lasswade Rugby Club Gain Promotion

Without kicking a ball last week Lasswade Rugby Club gained promotion to the BT National League Division 2. It all rested on the result between Champions Dumfries and St Boswells which resulted in 25-4. Finishing on 85 points and 4 points behind Dumfries, Lasswade won 16 out of their 22 games and now will be playing against Preston Lodge, Peebles and Biggar.

Local car racing champion from Dalkeith

A local lad 20 years old from Dalkeith called Aiden Moffat had his first win in the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship at Donington Park. He won driving a Laser Tools Racing Mercedes. Aiden holds the record as the youngest-ever driver in the BTCC
